The Position
Mobile Plant OperativeJob Summary
Mobile Plant Operative – Full time (Day Shift only)
Location: Imerys Cornwall
Salary: £18,525 plus shift allowance £3,450.38
What you’ll be doing: The Mobile Plant Operative will be responsible for operating large rigid chassis trucks ensuring all equipment is operated in a safe and efficient manner. In addition, you’ll
Ensure that excavation and tipping areas are well maintained following local site rules
Be operating the equipment at maximum productivity and minimum waiting time
Carry out equipment safety checks at the beginning of each shift
Work closely with local site supervisors to deal with any issues as they arise
Keep in close contact with the team using the in-cab radio
A 12-hour day shift, over a two-week rotation period, working 7 days out of 14 which includes weekends
You will also have the opportunity to cover during periods of absence; this will be paid at a higher rate, with an early start shift allowance

Prior LGV experience is preferred but not essential as full training is given
An interest in mobile plant and large machinery is ideal
A valid UK Driving Licence is essential
