To work within a team of mobile patrol officers maintaining a clean, safe and secure environment within all sites across our South/West Yorkshire division. Your starting point will be our head offices in Barnsley where you will collect the company vehicle.
Hours of Work:
This will include working days. Shift times are 7am - 7pm
Rate of pay up to £11.50 per hour subject to experience.
Principle Accountabilities: 1. To act as a representative for Taybar Security and its clients at all times, ensuring the required standard uniform is worn in full by you and all Security Officers at all times during each shift without exception.
2. Maintain confidentiality in all instances at all times, even when not on duty.
3. Ensure all duties as laid down in the on-site Assignment Instructions are followed each shift without exception on all Taybar Security sites. Help instruct and assist in the training of new, temporary or cover security staff on their assignments in emergencies.
4. Working with the management and in cooperation with all members of staff employed at Taybar Security. Liaise with the emergency services.
5. Attend training sessions as required. Operate within Taybar Security policies and procedures for Health and Safety, Lone Working and Equal Opportunities.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake patrols (on foot and vehicle) of commercial properties at frequency determined by the management.
2. Check, secure and report all external and internal doors, windows and fire exits on all premises you patrol. Eliminate when possible and report on all Health and Safety issues.
3. Respond to intruder and fire alarm call outs as appropriate, inspect for signs of break-in, search for suspects, liaise with police and emergency services.
4. Unlock and lock up all key-holding sites as instructed by the management.
5. During major incidents, restrict access to the affected site, regulate movement of traffic, pedestrians and liaise with the emergency services.
6. Assist the management, police or other security personnel in the acquisition of CCTV footage when required.
Required:
1. Must provide 5 years checkable work or back to school history.
2. Must have at least a valid SIA DS licence.
3. Proof of the right to work in the UK, proof of residence and national insurance.
4. Provide at least 1 character reference.
5. Proof of ID (Passport or Birth Certificate only).
6. Minimum GCSE/ O’Level or equivalent in Maths and English.
7. Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office: including Word & Excel.
8. Must have a valid clean UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
9. Able to work varying work shift patterns or unsociable hours when required.
10. Must have good understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities relating to a security team.
11. Must have experience of delivering excellent customer service.
Desirable:
1. Trained in Emergency First Aid at Work
3. Security industry experience at least 1 year
4. Performance focussed and motivated individual by achieving measurable results.
