Are you currently working as a Chef/ Chef Manager, tired of looking at the same four walls on a daily basis? How about something a little different? We are currently recruiting a Mobile Events Chef Manager, this role is a hybrid role between being a great chef who will be feeding from 30 to 150 people a service, to a manager, who is a great planner, who can organise menus, order the ingredients and then manage the logistics of setting up events around different parts of Scotland
The ingredients for success
This is a great opportunity to take your culinary career in a new direction. You will probably come from a contract catering background, but either way, you will be a proven chef and you will have some management experience. You also need to have a driving licence as you need to be mobile with the job. You will be Edinburgh based but you will get to work across Scotland so travel shouldn’t be an issue.

The role is full time, permanent, and you will be working Thursday to Monday (your weekends will be Tuesday and Wednesday). The salary for this role is £27,000 and during working time you will have use of a company van.

What you’ll be doing
- You will be managing logistics, menu’s and more for Army Cadet weekends
- Ensuring you are properly manned to cover all workload
- You will be travelling and setting up on a Thursday, catering from Friday evening until Sunday evening and ordering and planning for the next weekend on a Monday
- During the weekends you will be providing Breakfast, lunch and Dinner Services
- You will be delivering quality foods within the budgetary demands of the role
Qualifications and experience needed
- Relevant culinary qualification
- Strong organisational skills
- Driving licence with no more than 6 points
- A passion for food and service
- Flexible approach to hours and duties
- Due to the nature of the site Security clearance will be required
