JOB DESCRIPTION /DUTIES:
- To mentor and have a positive influence on the parish's youth and children.
- To share the good news of Jesus Christ, especially with young people and children, by creating sermons and lessons that uplift and encourage spiritual development in the next generation of Christians.
- To offer pastoral guidance, mentoring, and discipleship to all church youth and children.
- To sustain a healthy family dynamic and to fortify oneself via daily devotions, prayer, Bible study, etc.
- To help the Parish's Senior Pastor and other Pastors with various ministry responsibilities.
- Counselling services, social guidance, support referrals, support emotional and spiritual support, and support for the elderly, youth, children and family.
- To collaborate with the pastor in charge of missions and young people in order to forge strong bonds and make a difference in the neighborhood.
- Will collaborate with the pastor to create a strategy for promoting and enticing youth to attend services.
- Willingness to participate and support the church's charity through food outreach to the needy in the society.
- Be accountable for informing the Pastor about the dates and projects of the Youth and Children's Church and requesting approval as needed.
PERSON SPECIFICATION & ATTRIBUTES
The pastor will be a devout follower of Jesus who is dedicated to the doctrine and practices of the Pentecostal church. The position holder needs to:
- Must be born again and filled with the Holy Ghost
- Must meet the requirements for church membership.
- Must be able to express and convey his or her own Christian faith.
- Dedicated to a team-based approach to ministry and capable of giving precise instructions when assigning tasks.
- Capable of working independently and willing to take initiative.
- Intellectually strong and eager to pursue further study and professional/spiritual development.
- Capable of relating to young people and children in the context of contemporary culture while maintaining unwavering faith.
- Committed to collaborating with the pastorate and leadership team to carry out the church’s purpose and vision.
- Committed to the church's expansion.
- Leadership and/or employment experience in a church with a large Black Afro-Caribbean and Asian Ethnicity church setting.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
The minister must;
· Certificate of Ordination
· Baptismal Certificate
· Basic Certificate Course (BCC)
· Leadership Diploma Course (LDC)
· Have good computer skills in Microsoft office suit.
· Education at degree level in a course studied in English.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £18,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
