We are searching for lead coaches to deliver a comprehensive athletics focused programme to 2-8 year olds.

As a lead coach you will be responsible for:
- To welcome and acknowledge all participants upon arrival of each class with enthusiasm
- To maintain attendance register and maintain administration of non-payers etc, informing Dan Wescott of any anomalies
- To ensure classes commence and finish on time
- To lead, motivate and engage with the children in your classes
- Work though the Mini Athletics programme to teach the basic core athletic development skills in a fun and structured environment using equipment and apparatus provided
- Following the lesson plans provided by Mini Athletics
- Encouraging team spirit and patience amongst the team by doing appropriate games and tasks in groups and individually
- Maintain authority over the class in a clear and concise manner and promptly addressing any disruptive behavior by following our procedures.
- Handing out vests, kit and newsletters as required.
- Referring any parent enquiries to Dan Wescott
- Leave hall clear and tidy after classes
- If available, be able to cover other or additional Mini Athletics classes in emergencies
- To attend all training and refresher courses as required by Mini Athletics
- To act in a professional way as a representative of Mini Athletics whilst conducting your classes
- This role does involve training, supervising, working with and/or being in sole charge of children and young people.
- The successful applicant will therefore be required to apply for a disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly the CRB). A disclosure is an impartial and confidential document that details an individual’s criminal record and where appropriate gives details of those who are banned from working with children.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 0-10 per week
Salary: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only
