At Leicester Maternity service we have vacancies for Band 5 preceptor midwives and Band 6 Midwives. We would love for you to join our team where you will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team in an environment that is supportive and empowering.
With a birth rate around 9700 our service is one of the largest and most culturally diverse in the country with a wide range of complexities and specialist services to guarantee opportunities to gain excellent experience. In addition we have a level 3 tertiary Neonatal service and host the East Midlands congenital heart service therefore we are highly skilled at managing complex referrals from other services.

Band 5
To consolidate the theory and practice acquired during
midwifery training.To maintain a high standard of midwifery care at all times.To acquire additional competencies to fulfil the role of a
midwife providing total care to women in preparation for band
6 role working in a continuity care model.
Band 6
To deliver total care to mother and babies within the hospital and community environment as required tomeet the expectations of Better Births and Continuity of Carer.
