Job description

Are you a dynamic, passionate midwife looking to be supported by an amazing team of midwives? ULHT maternity is striving towards excellence, come along to join us on our journey. Please note that this post is at Lincoln County Hospital.

This is currently a time of exciting changes for maternity provision within Lincolnshire as a local Maternity system (LMS) has been established by the CCGs with the Lincolnshire Sustainability and Transformation Partnership. ULHT is embracing the opportunity for all women to have a personalised maternity care plan with continuity of carer with care delivery as close to home as possible via community hubs. The aim of this model of care is to improve the health of women and their families now and for future generations. Within Lincolnshire Continuity of carer models for antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care have also been launched.

ULHT provides intrapartum care for approximately 5,500 women and their families across two consultant-led sites working together closely in order to provide safe effective care for women and their families. Our local community is multicultural with a diverse mix of health needs.

The interviews are going to be on 30/6/2023

The Midwives work within the unit rotating around each of the areas to gain and maintain essential experience in all aspects of maternity care. The care will include antenatal care (including triage), intrapartum care, and postnatal care.

The successful Band 5 candidates will undertake a 12-month preceptorship training package to help them with the transition between being a student and being a qualified member of the team. The successful band 6 candidates will receive an induction period to allow rotation within the department.
