Salary Guide: £30,000 – £40,000
Summary
A prestigious architectural practice is looking for an ambitious Middleweight Interior Designer that has excellent design skill and wants to join a growing and friendly team situated in their East London Studio. This firm has an international portfolio working across many different sectors, although they are currently looking for a talented individual with experience in the Education sector. The position comes at an exciting time in the development of the practice, offering great opportunities to work on a wide range and scope of projects from £2m-£25m.
Job description:
- At least 3 years’ UK experience, predominantly in the Commercial or Education/Higher Education Sector
- A relevant interior design or interior architecture degree
- Ability to work under own initiative and as an integral part of the team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience Running Projects including designing, managing and delivering projects from initial concepts through to completion,
- Commercially focused with experience in Education/Higher Education, Cultural and/or Residential sectors, with hotel and commercial experience being advantageous
- A good working knowledge of new building, interior construction and refurbishment projects,
- A highly creative approach and mindset,
- Self-motivated, positive and an excellent team player,
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for current interior design trends, lighting materials, finishes and furniture.
- AutoCAD and Sketch-UP fluency, Revit fluency highly advantageous.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign essential, Photoshop and Illustrator an advantage.
- Eligibility to work in the UK
