H2O Publishing are one of the leading foodservice publishers in the UK managing 13 magazines and over 20 industry events. Our team is composed of passionate and driven individuals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality work in our thriving industry.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented and creative Middleweight Graphic Designer to join our team on a part time basis of 15hrs a week (2 days). Working from home, there is also some flexibility of when the hours can be worked. There is likely to be additional days available as we get peaks in workload.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging designs across a variety of media, including magazine design, digital, print, and social media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with team members to develop and refine design concepts
- Work across multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Design and produce high-quality digital and print materials, including magazine features, adverts, logos, brochures, social media assets, and web graphics
- Ensure that all designs are consistent with the brand guidelines
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies to ensure that our work is always fresh and relevant
Those all important requirements:
- We don’t require a Bachelor’s degree, but a very strong portfolio that showcases your design skills and creativity is a must
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in a publishing or agency environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Experience of designing magazine layouts
- Experience designing for social media platforms
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
