Microbiology Technician

Naturelle Consumer Products LTD was established in 1987 and is located in Omagh Co. Tyrone. The company employs approximately 100 employees and are a leading contract manufacturer of disposable contamination control and hygiene products for the medical, pharmaceutical and retail markets.

The company is actively looking to recruit a Microbiology Technician who has experience in this field within the pharmaceutical industry.

This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior management to ensure Quality standards are adhered to and achieved on an audit by audit basis while developing a culture of Continuous Improvement within the organisation based on GMP guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Monitoring of all manufacturing Areas in Naturelle.
  • Environmental Monitoring and Checks for Media fill.
  • Gowning Validations
  • Media Fill Validations
  • Trending of Environmental Monitoring of Aseptic Suite, Blending Suite, Warehouse GMP Area and Deviations.
  • Upkeep of Microbiology Lab, including stock inventory and general tidying.
  • Monitoring of Agar Plates in and out of the Microbiology Lab.
  • Upkeep of equipment within Microbiology Lab, including Incubators, Fridge, Freezer, Autoclave and Colony Counter.
  • Microbiology Documentation, paper and computer based – creation, management and updating.
  • Reporting results to relevant staff.
  • Participation in external Auditing of any contract analysis.
  • CAPA and NCR Analysis
  • HexiPrep Batch Record
  • Internal Audits
  • Supplier Audits

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a microbiology laboratory setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of microbiological techniques, including aseptic technique, microbial identification, and microbial enumeration.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, and microscopes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and analyze data.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
