One Scientific is proud to be part of the Tentamus group which has seven laboratories in the UK offering a wide range of food and pharmaceutical testing. Our laboratories in Avonmouth, Bristol specialise in Chemistry, Microbiology and Molecular Biology testing in food. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Microbiology team in a company which has around 120 employees.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain or develop laboratory experience in a supportive and friendly environment. You will be doing some basic laboratory tasks, supporting our busy Microbiology Laboratory, and making sure the laboratory is clean, tidy, and safe.
No experience is necessary as full training will be provided
What you will be doing:
· Prepare samples and perform laboratory tests
· Carry on washing up tasks.
· To assist in the day-to-day effective, accurate and efficient processing of workload in the Media laboratory, in accordance with documented procedures.
· To ensure the maintenance of equipment and adequate stocks of reagents and consumables are upheld.
· Preparing media for analysis including weighing and performing serial dilutions.
· To assist Media production.
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday 11:00-21:00 (4 days per week)

Holidays: 28 days holiday (pro-rata if part-time) inc. bank holidays per year. Extra day per year of service up to 33 days.
