SEA Consulting is MEP Building Services Design & Sustainability Consultants, working in the commercial building sector for over 40 years. We are a boutique consultancy for select clientele. We help our clients with major/minor refurbishments of there existing commercial properties portfolios, along with advising them on how to meet new sustainability legislation requirements.

As part of the UKs drive to reduce carbon emissions from buildings the Government have set an ambitious agenda for commercial buildings to reduce their carbon emissions. SEA Consulting are helping clients understand how to meet these Government targets along with providing them with cost effective solutions.
Your role will be to assist in surveying and the thermal modelling of buildings, along with preparing reports for clients on the current asset position and how these can be improved going forwards. This will include working with our MEP team in preparing tender specifications for contractors to follow and following the projects through to completion of works.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with our experience team, gain experience on all types of commercial buildings and develop your understanding of the broad spectrum of the building services, whilst working towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.
Your role will require you to undertake several duties including:
- Assisting Engineers with onsite surveys, measurements, and identifying existing services on a building layout plan.
- Produce 3D thermal models of buildings.
- Analyse design solutions.
- Assisting with consultancy assignments, providing advisory support to clients, and contributing to formulating design concepts and approaches.
- Reviewing Electrical load calculation and design drawings.
- Reviewing mechanical design drawings incl. HVAC, Public health, etc.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- BEng/BSc Degree qualified in Mechanical / Building Services Engineering.
- MEng / MSc preferred or working towards.
- Working towards chartership.
- Previous work experience is not necessary but is advantageous.
- A valid UK driver's license or working towards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent research abilities and a willingness to grow.
- A positive attitude and a growth mindset.
- A desire to improve skill set.
UK Visa Sponsorship will be considered for experienced candidates.
