We are currently recruiting…

Enthusiastic and cheerful Mental Health Well-being Worker to work within the Mental Health Well-being Team in Adult Social Care at Lancashire County Council.

We have been given the opportunity to create a brand-new team of individuals who share our passion for empowering people and families within the communities of Lancashire. If you share our ambition in making a considerable difference to people's mental health and well-being, then join our journey in providing the best possible social care. You will be part of the progression and improvement to the lives of individuals when they are at their most vulnerable, putting them at ease with your caring and compassionate nature. We pride ourselves in creating strong working relationships with all collaborating professionals and are fortunate enough to have their help and support right at our fingertips.

Not only will you be joining a team to be proud of, but we will also facilitate your dreams of progression within the service, allowing you to work your way up with our outstanding academy programme.

Passion – you'll be passionate about making a difference to the lives of adults and families; taking a holistic approach both to their mental health and general well-being – we need you to be raring to go with infectious enthusiasm, allowing people to build on their strengths and promote independence with the ultimate devotion and dedication – now more than ever mental health issues are on the increase and it will be your priority to attain the right resources for every individual need – your drive and determination will enable you to get the best out of the people you work with offering early intervention and guidance, all the while keeping that smile on your face and passion in your heart

Reliable – you will be a reliable and valued confidante ensuring issues and problems are heard and resolved – with a person-centred approach you will be working with a variety of individuals all with varying mental health and social care needs – in a time of limited resources we want you to utilise what is available to the fullest extent, navigating this fast paced environment – you must be efficient and provide a service in a timely and effective manner, managing your own diary and organising your own appointments – we want you to have a thirst for knowledge and always take the opportunity to learn and grow through your working environment

Collaborative – we are very fortuitous to be part of an Integrated Care System which allows our new team to work in line with health colleagues – much of this role is focused upon collaborating with various community groups, support agencies and primary care networks (PCN) – we want you to build a positive working relationship in all areas enabling individuals to access the right support at the right time – with your approachability and self-motivation you will strengthen an alliance with an abundance of other professionals such as community mental health teams, social prescribers, GP's, consultants and many more – you don’t necessarily need to have a background in mental health, just the eagerness and determination to provide excellent care

Why join us…

Benefits: A plethora or discounts & benefits from dog care to day care to days out or in, log cabins by Snowdon or holidays abroad, pampering and fitness for your mind, body & soul, long service awards, Medicash, support groups, public service pensions, cycle to work schemes and eye tests plus many more.

Development: you'll get support and development along the journey – there will be time for supportive reflection and supervision for yourself, opportunities for personal growth and development, professional qualifications, multidisciplinary initiatives, mentoring, the opportunity to make a difference, feel valued and achieve the job satisfaction you've always wanted

Inclusivity: we don't have a "one size fits all" idealism, we embrace diversity and that includes around personal and family requirements so appreciate that you'll want to be working from home when you can, your hours may vary or change and for us – delivering successful outcomes is more important than watching the clock
