  • REPORTS TO: Deputy Care Operations Manager (DCOM)

    JOB TYPES: Full-time, Permanent

    SHIFT PATTERNS:

    • 12 hour shifts
    • Day shifts 8am- 9pm
    • Night shifts 8.30pm-8.30am

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Full UK Manual Driving License (Required)
    • Enhanced DBS certificate within the last 3 years (preferred)

    WHY THIS JOB EXISTS:

    To deliver high standards of patient transition care using responsible business practices within a healthcare environment. To support the Deputy Care Operations Manager (DCOM) with the management and development of the team to provide high quality patient transitions.


    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Insist on all aspects of health & safety, monitoring standards on a daily basis to ensure compliance with legislation.
    • Act as a role model for quality patient care, the Company values, competencies, policies and procedures on all occasions.
    • Be a guardian of the Code of Conduct with the team.
    • Monitor the standards of patient care for the team to nurture a learning culture and provide creative solutions to facilitate continual improvement.
    • Assist with the recruitment, induction, development and retention of the team acting as a mentor for new team members.
    • Act as a conduit for communication between teams and managers for effective engagement and disseminating business information.
    • Motivate and demonstrate genuine care for the team through positive professional communication, proficient team meetings, teamworking and coaching.
    • Support with the observation and identification of potential development areas within the team’s performance and ensure they have the skill and desire to achieve their objectives and business goals alongside identifying and supporting with the management of poor performance for improvement.
    • Manage the accurate implementation of electronic systems for capturing required data, review and resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Assist with the professional administration duties with the needs of the team when transitioning patients on duty.
    • Take accountability for own continual professional development and reflective practice for learning.
    • Achieve business KPI’s, goals and objectives.
    • Ensure all vehicle standards are maintained to the highest level achievable.
    • Respond positively to change by supporting and delivering Company new initiatives.
    • Supervise rotas effectively to optimise productivity and efficiency balancing the high standards of care for patients.
    • Support the role of business development as required ensuring all opportunities are maximised through networking and relationship building with clients and partners.
    • Ensure the integrity of the SCUK brand by maintaining high professional standards for the whole team at all times.
    • Collaborate respectfully with Company departments to facilitate deployments, audits, checks and standard operating procedures for effective implementation and maintenance.
    • Ensure all work activities for the teams are in line with legislation.
    • Deputise for the DCOM in their absence.
    • Any other reasonable duties as assigned.

    • Previous people skills experience required
    • Previous healthcare and driving experience essential.

    Salary: Team Leader £24800-£25300 per annum. £11.20 p/h for days and £12.20 p/h for nights and weekends worked on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 2 days 8am-9pm and 2 nights 8.30pm- 8.30am, with an hour unpaid break.(enhanced pay of £1.20 extra per hour for work at a Mental Health ‘place of safety’ and for bed watch activities, supporting ward staff)
