At Supported Independence, we have an upcoming vacancy for a Health Care Assistant/Mental Health Support Worker, preferably with driving licence, to join our team based in Weston super Mare.
Full-time (37.5 hrs.), permanent contracts preferred, but part-time (25 hrs. min.) may be considered, subject to availability.
Our company is an established Supported Living provider for adults, with a CQC good/outstanding rating, and we assist service users with a wide range of support needs, including: mental health conditions; alcohol and substance addictions; learning disabilities; autism/Asperger’s; trauma; self-harm & suicide attempts; personality disorder, and behaviours that may challenge. Based on Person Centred principles, our aim is to assist service users to develop or re-gain greatest possible independence.
Driving licence preferable, as we also support outreach clients! - Company fleet vehicles available for work journeys, or generous mileage allowance paid for staff using their own car (by agreement).
We welcome applicants from all sections of society. Previous support work experience helpful, but not essential, as we can provide all necessary training.
Our support worker roles also offer excellent experience and development opportunities for anyone starting careers in social work, clinical psychology/psychiatry, mental health, etc.
Package:
· Current hourly starting rate is between £11.23 (unqualified) and £11.56 (NVQ3 Health & Social Care or equivalent) qualified = annual starting salary on 37.5 hours p/w: £21,902/£22,534.
· Staff loyalty pay scheme with increases after 13 months, 25 months and upon completion of selected qualifications or promotions & bonus after 3 years of employment.
