Mental Health Support Worker
Job Description
We are looking for a support worker to work with a female adult in Leeds who has complex needs (this includes mental illness, complex post-traumatic stress disorder and agoraphobia). The support worker would work in their home, in public places and at their work place supporting them with a range of tasks including helping them to leave the house, helping them to instil a healthy routine, set and accomplish goals and helping them develop coping mechanisms for them to use in their workplace.
Contract info
Type of contract: Freelance
Length: 12 months (with a view to extend)
Hours: Between 5 and 10 hours per week
Pay: Between £20 and £35 per hour dependent on experience
Paid: Upon receipt of invoice on a monthly basis
Essential Experience
- Minimum of 12 months experience of supporting people with mental health and complex needs
- Compassionate, patient and caring
- Able to travel to South Leeds
- An up-to-date enhanced DBS
Desirable Experience
- A psychology or mental health nursing based degree
- Experience of working in a mental health unit (or similar)
