The Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, caring people to bring their personality, skills, and life experience to work and help our Service Users to develop, grow and have fulfilling life.
You will be a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Support worker looking for full or part time employment. The work will be flexible and within different Residential Homes in and around the Newport area. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality person-centred care to service users ensuring that they lead fulfilling lives. You will engage in daily activities to promote the Service Users health, mental health, well-being and encouraging their independence.
Our Staff
Many of our Mental Health Support workers will have previous care and/or support work experience before they begin their employment with us, and we provide them with a full induction, training and additional e-learning training and support to enable them to work with all our clients.
All our support workers are fully vetted, so you will be required to provide a minimum of 2 references and undertake an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities and Duties
· To support individuals with aspects of personal care whilst promoting independence in the individuals own space.
· Supporting the service users with money management and budgeting
· To support individuals in attending activities or providing domestic support
· To maintain good health with offering assistance with medication, meal preparation and shopping.
· To support individual lifestyle choices when delivering services ensuring dignity is always maintained
· To be able to work using own initiative, with your colleagues and any other professional bodies, ensuring the quality of care being delivered is of the highest standard
Qualifications and Skills
· Candidate must be able to show compassion, empathy, and good communication skills
· Candidate must be able to record and communicate vital and important information in a professional manner
· It is desirable that candidates have worked in a support environment previously
· Must be aged 18 and over
· Candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a trusted team
· Candidate must have good time keeping
· Full training will be provided
· This position will be subject to an enhanced disclosure check.
· We currently are asking for candidates to have 2 months experience within a care setting inside of the UK.
