Sanctuary Personnel is currently looking for an experienced Band 7 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to take on a new ongoing contract role as Deputy Manager within the Older Adults Community Team in High Wycombe.
Location: Saffron House, High Wycombe.
Pay Rate: £36 per hour (assignment rate).
Contract Type: Locum, 6-month ongoing.
Working Hours:
- 37.5 hours per week.
- Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm shifts.
- Flexible working hours will be considered for the right candidate.
Main Duties:
- Deputise for OAMHT manager when required.
- Line manage and co-ordinate a group of staff working in the OAMHT.
- Have responsibility for a particular service area (Duty, Memory Clinic and CMHT) as well as a clinical lead responsibility.
- Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of services, ensuring high standards of practice with efficient and effective use of resources, achieving appropriate outcomes for the service user.
- Act as care coordinator within the Care Programme Approach, working with a small number of patients with particularly complex needs.
- Participate as a member of the on-call duty manager rota which will require some working on weekends.
- Undertake clinical investigations and complete good clinical reports in a timely manner.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan and implement programmes of intervention specific to the needs of individual or groups of patients and their carers.
- Undertake highly complex assessments, including the assessment of risk, identify needs and develop care plans in partnership with patients and carers based on evidence-based practice.
Requirements of the Community Psychiatric Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing.
- Experience working as a Mental Health Nurse, including in front of house/crisis/home treatment teams.
- NMC Registration.
- Available to start as soon as possible.
