The Role – Membership Manager
We now have an exciting new role for an outstanding Membership Manager. Reporting to the Senior Admissions and Membership Manager, you will lead the daily operation of the Membership and Adoptions team.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Successfully lead a large team, including management of recruitment, development, operational compliance and building high team morale.
- Be responsible for monitoring trends which affect memberships, both in the leisure and tourism sector and wider business to ensure the zoo are leaders within the industry.
- Be responsible for the management and development of the EPOS and membership systems, including administration, investigative analysis of data and reporting.
- Continually lead a programme of continuous improvement of the membership offer.
The Package
- Fixed-term contract - maternity cover, from 1st August 2023 – end September 2024
- Working Hours - 40 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days
- £32,408.13 per annum

Our Requirements
- Proven experience managing a large team within a focus on delivering first class customer experience.
- Operational leadership experience in a visitor attraction or membership environment
- Experienced people manager who can lead and inspire a team in a range of disciplines.
- Experience of developing and managing budgets
- Experience of managing data sources, developing KPIs and reports and making associated operational / strategic recommendations
Although not essential, the following would be desirable:
- Experience in database management and development within a charitable organisation.
- Experience implementing new systems within a commercial environment with change control in mind.
- Experience assisting in the development of a data driven approach to our operations.
