What you’ll be doing!
As Meetings & Events Co-ordinator, you will be totally focused on growing our business through relationship building, proactive selling and effective conversion of all enquiries. As an M&E Coordinator you will work closely with the Meetings Director to ensure the smooth running of all hotel events. From taking the call or answering a guest email to entering the booking into Rendezvous & Opera Hotel PMS system, through to making the final amendments and communicating the final details and any changes. You will be a step ahead at all times to guarantee a successful event. You will work hard to achieve your targets and supporting your colleagues to achieve theirs. You will have great attention to detail and work well as part of a team including closely with the reservations and front office team.

Roles and responsibilities
- Handle enquiries for events & conferences in a calm, efficient manner
- Be able to deal with the initial enquiry through to the successful conclusion
- Create proposals for clients based on the hotel selling strategy
- Arrange and complete client show arounds
- Processing bookings, contracts and handling payments
- Efficiently maintain the meetings and room booking systems
- Liaise with other hotel departments about client requirements
- Keeping in touch with clients on their day and liaising with regards to final details. including maximising upgraded items.
- Communicate accurate meetings details to the operations team
- Maintain accurate accounting records for each event
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Conduct daily office duties such as morning meetings, gathering customer feedback, checking event charges.
