Medical Secretary
Band 4 37.5hrs (Reduction in hours and/or Job-share would be considered for the right candidate)
Salary – £27,598 - £30,019 pro-rata
28 days annual leave plus 8 days public holidays pro-rata
Elective Orthopaedics, Woodend Hospital
Due to a previous candidate withdrawing, we are re-advertising for a Medical Secretary based within the Elective Orthopaedic Department at Woodend Hospital. This is an extremely busy department, with a high volume/turnaround of patients having surgery. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial and waiting list support to Orthopaedic Consultants and Clinical Team.
Currently our team consists of 12 Medical Secretaries, 3 Audio-Typists, and a Team Secretary/Clerical Officer who work exceptionally well as a team and we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join them.
Applicants must have a good standard of education, excellent communication and keyboard skills, and knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
