Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) is one of the world’s leading centres for research into the causes, prevention, and treatment of chronic diseases (such as cancer, renal and heart disease).
We are seeking a Medical Statistician to provide statistical support to an ongoing large renal disease trial (EMPA-KIDNEY). You will also be involved in the statistical work for a major new international renal trial and planned individual participant level meta-analyses. The potholder will be actively involved in data analyses, publication and presentation of the research, and improving trial methodology.
To be considered for the Medial Statistician post, you will have an MSc in a numerate or computational discipline involving a substantial programming component. You will have experience, ability and practical success in statistics as well as an excellent understanding of a range of statistical concepts and techniques with excellent programming skills.
The position is full time (part time considered) and fixed term for two years in the first instance. The closing date for applications is noon on 14 September 2023.
