JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Medical Receptionist
REPORTS TO: The Clinic Manager & Directors of 132 Harley Street
SUMMARY
The post holder will be well presented with good communication skills. Ensure all patients are handed a registration form to complete/update and that all new information is recorded accurately. Making sure all self-pay patients payments are collected on the day of their visit and accurate records are kept of said payments on the system. Answering the telephone and ensuring the smooth running of Reception at all times.
Main Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:-
- Ensure all patient registration details are recorded and updated for every patient.
- Ensuring all Consultants & Therapists are updated throughout their clinics as to any messages from external secretaries or patients.
- Ensuring all patient results documents emailed from external secretaries are delivered promptly to the relevant consultant.
- Taking payments from self-funding patients on the day of their visit and ensuring these are entered onto the system & keeping accurate records of payments on the daily sales sheet.
- Raising & sending patient invoices for insured patients to the billing company.
- Typing of Ultrasound Scan reports as necessary duty shared with PA].
- Answering telephone and email queries and directing calls appropriately.
- Sorting the post, ensuring any laboratory results are directed to the appropriate consultant.
- Arranging couriers as required.
- Liaising with the Clinic Manager formatting quarterly Newsletter for our Company Website.
- In liaison as above, searching for relevant news stories and updating Company Facebook page and developing a Company blog.
