Cranleigh Gardens Medical Centre is looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual for a reception team leader.
You will work at the Cranleigh Gardens surgery which provides primary care services to a registered practice population of over 13000 patients. We are a very friendly and enthusiastic team with a proven record of providing high quality clinical care to our patients. The successful candidate will have experience of dealing with the public, have supervisory experience including line management of staff, preferably within primary care. A positive attitude, strong communication across differing levels, refined interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude to ensure our patients receive the very best experience and support to meet their health needs.
You will be responsible for the supervision, guidance and motivation of 10 receptionists, helping colleagues work together to ensure they deliver the best service possible for our patients. This role will also include protected time as well as working on reception.
Main duties of the job
Helping with training and development for new staff
Some line management responsibilities with support from the existing management structure
Acting as the point of contact for the deputy manager and disseminating information to the team
Arranging short term cover for sickness and annual leave
Reporting queries and problems affecting the team to the deputy practice manager and overseeing the smooth running of reception
Allocating and prioritising work amongst team members
Completing monthly Rota
Completing extended hours rota including any additional clinics (flus etc.)
Arranging daily schedule including lunches, Westonzoyland cover, bluestream training, filing of notes and franking any other additional tasks.
Arrange rebooking of appointments and any extra overtime needed to complete this.
Overseeing the waiting room displays, including information leaflets, posters and monthly campaigns
Overview of your organisation
We have a very strong team ethic and have individual teams of GP's, Nursing, Administration, and Reception within our overall practice team. We presently have ten members within the reception team that you would be joining with a mix of ages and experience.
We are a very busy team but also strike a balance between working hard whilst generating a welcoming and enjoyable environment to work in

COVID-19 considerations:
All patients are required to wear mask whilst in the building. Staff also wear masks and PPE as necessary. we have protective screens and surfaces are sanitised regularly.
