RCMP Records Supervisor
The City of Mission is looking for a knowledgeable, experienced, and positive supervisor to join the Records section at the Mission RCMP Detachment. Reporting to the Manager of RCMP Administration, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of all Mission RCMP files in accordance with applicable legislation and policy. In addition to supervising Records staff, the RCMP Records Supervisor is responsible for processing record suspensions, moratoriums, private file maintenance, purging, audits, and compiling data for statistics. You need to be a self- directed individual who can effectively organize and prioritize their workload and meet tight deadlines in a challenging environment.
To be successful in this position, you must have considerable knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the various employees you will be supervising including those responsible for CPIC, Reviewer/Reader, Information & Privacy, Traffic, MNI, Dispositions, Intellibook and Watch Clerk duties. You will also possess demonstrated leadership and coaching skills with the ability to provide clear direction and effectively supervise and coordinate the work of a group of employees.
The ideal candidate is a high school graduate (or equivalent) with administrative training including a supervisory course. You will have a minimum of three years’ experience in a police environment plus one year of supervisory experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience). Applicants must currently possess, or can obtain and maintain, RCMP enhanced reliability clearance.
The 2023 hourly rate of pay is $38.60 plus a comprehensive benefits package including the Municipal Pension Plan. The hours of work for this position are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm from Monday to Friday working a nine-day fortnight (one extra day off every two weeks).
