We have an exciting opportunity available for a Medical Assistant role within Health Board GP Managed Practice
As a Medical Assistant you will build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to establish pathways of health and social care conducive to patient needs. Signposting patients to relevant services, groups and teams to help enhance their care pathway will be a vital part of this role.
The Medical Assistant role plays a vital part in maintaining safe and effective patient care within the SBUHB Managed Practice. As a Medical Assistant you will work in collaboration with the clinical and administrational teams to ensure a seamless approach to clinical administration and patient pathways. The post holder will be responsible for the daily clinical correspondence received within practice and work independently to manage this workflow to ensure all correspondence is coded and aligned to the most appropriate Health Care Professional for action. Where appropriate, the Medical Assistant will process all documentation and correspondence that does not require clinical action/input and ensure all diagnoses, treatment plans and updates are documented and coded within patient notes.
