Job description

Shantys Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team!

MONDAY TO FRIDAY ONLY - NO WEEKENDS

DO NOT APPLY IF:

You are unable to work 40 hours per week. Cash in hand requests will be denied, both before and after commencing employment.

You DO NOT have at least 1 year of experience of working in a pharmacy IN THE UK.

Those attracted by a challenge will be best suited to the role. The role will involve the following:

Customer service

Counter sales

Medicine Sales and advice on common minor health conditions

Sales of NHS and private healthcare services

Stock control

Admin duties

Maintaining relationships with local GP surgeries (including ordering and chasing of NHS repeat prescriptions in a timely manner)

Overseeing the upkeep and tidiness of the retail area

Dealing with and taking ownership of patient/customer queries

One to one patient consultations for specific NHS and private healthcare services (e.g. stop smoking and vaccination services)

Required Skills:

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers and staff in a positive manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to learn new software programs quickly and maintain proficiency as necessary.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Valid driver’s license with insurance with at least 3 years of driving history.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Desired Skills:

Fluency in Bengali language (in particular the Sylehti dialect)

Salary: £23,213.00 per year
