Looking for a Medical Assistant (MA) for our reputable team of mental health professionals!

Job Description:

Applicants must be willing to work full-time, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Managing correspondence between patients and healthcare providers
• Taking patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight
• Collecting medical histories and patient information
• Assisting with medical procedures, such as administering injections
• Performing diagnostic/behavioral tests
• Communicating with patients regarding their care, medications, and treatment plans
• Educating patients about their health conditions and treatment options
• Responding to patient inquiries and concerns
• Updating patient medical records
• Handling prior authorization, pre-certification, and medication refills

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge/experience of EMR / HER
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM (words per minute)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
• Able to answer and screen incoming calls
• Adhere to established office policies and procedures
• Maintain a positive working relationship and cultivate a cooperative work environment
• Must be trustworthy and dependable and maintain a sense of humor and a positive attitude
