Job description
Healthcare Assistant
We are looking for a candidate to support the practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, to deliver patient care within their scope of practice and assist clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education. We are a GP-led forward-thinking practice, and you will be working with highly trained colleagues.
Your role will include:
Provide such nursing services as are required in the HCA clinic including blood pressure monitoring, new patient checks, phlebotomy, basic wound care and dressings, hypertension reviews, NHS Health Checks, annual flu immunisation programme. Provide assistance for GPs performing minor operations, provide emergency nursing services as required. Ensure all clinical rooms are adequately stocked and prepared for each session, fridges are cleaned routinely, clinical waste is removed from clinical areas, deliver opportunistic health promotion where appropriate.
You will be of a friendly, polite and calm disposition with excellent clinical skills, and be trained to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

Salary: £10.94-£11.56 per hour
