We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately filling prescriptions, stocking shelves, and maintaining the cleanliness of the pharmacy. This position requires strong communication skills, an attention to detail, and a commitment to providing quality service. The ideal candidate will have experience in a pharmacy setting and knowledge of medical terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 qualified.
- Dispense medications and other health care products in accordance with pharmacy regulations.
- Assist customers with questions about medications and other health care products.
- Support the pharmacist to delivery services
- Delivery the technical aspects of the dispensary whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines, e.g., ordering/ restocking shelves with mediciation, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
- Maintain accurate records of all medications and other health care products dispensed.
- Organise and maintain pharmacy inventory.
- Follow safety protocols for handling medications.
- Good written, verbal and computer skills.
- Good time management.
The role
- Hours: Monday 8:30 to 18:00 (18:30 on alternate weeks)
Wednesday 8:30 to 16:30
Thursday 8:30 to 18:00
Friday 8:30 to 13:00
- Lunch break 13:00 to 14:00.
- Hours may be open to negotiation.
