Canvus who creates fuctional art meant to inspire, reimagine, and connect communities is looking for a driver to join our Brand department and explode our social media presence. This is a pivotal role that requires an individual eager to build a bold, wildly creative social strategy from it's infancy by building amazing content. This role is for the risk takers who get a thrill from pioneering an extraordinary brand like Canvus.
- Drive our social media strategy by creating captivating content for Instagram, TikTok Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. Leverage your content expertise to connect with our audience authentically.
- Be creative, be proactive, and be aggressive to prospect for new connections and ideas. You will not grow our brand by waiting for inbound leads through paid ads – provocative, scrappy, and explorative content and tactics are what Canvus needs to continue it's unprecedented growth.
- Responsible for developing and growing a rich following on social media that converts brand awareness to real revenue opportunities – identifying target audiences and connecting with them across channels.
- Develop a strategy to connect the physical products in the world to social engagement in a big way.
- Work cross-functionally to develop social content that drives engagement.
- Create and implement marketing strategies and plans to promote the company's products and brand through social media outlets.
- Publishing and growing presence on all social media platforms.
- Ensure that all social media and materials are consistent with the company's brand and messaging.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of social media experience, with a track record of actively creating engaging organic content.
- Must be eager to grow our social media presence/strategy from it's infancy and be comfortable with pivoting non-stop to get the best results.
- Experience executing online marketing campaigns end-to-end.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Have an advanced understanding of what makes content engaging and successful across audiences and platforms.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools and techniques for designing social-first content.
- Ability to create and drive visual content (images and video) that align with organization's brand, mission, and growth strategy.
- Knowledge of social insights and social advertising insights. Do you know what makes people tick…and click?
- Initiative-taking and able to work independently and collaborate as an effective team member.
- Experience in photo and/or video editing within a social context.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and how to optimize content for social media.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high editorial standards.
- Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools such as Social Flow and Google Analytics
