Position: Communications Officer

Job Description:

The Communications Officer is responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of the company’s communications strategy. This includes managing all aspects of the company’s social media presence, writing and editing content for internal and external publications, and managing the company’s website. The Communications Officer will report directly to the Director of Operations.

Essential Functions:
·Manage all aspects of social media presence including content creation, scheduling, editing, publishing, and engagement metrics.
·Write and edit content for internal publications including but not limited to: The Digital Life, The Business Journal, The Business Magazine, The Business Person’s Review, and The Business Person’s Magazine.
·Edit and implement best practices for website content including but not limited to: SEO optimization, website layout/design, content management system (CMS), database management system (DBS), and website analytics.
·Manage all aspects of the company’s social media presence including but not limited to content creation/publishing/engagement metrics.
·Assist in the development of company-specific marketing materials such as flyers, posters, newsletters, and other materials that are intended to promote the company.
·Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
·Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. A minimum of three years of related experience required.
·Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel). Experience with Google Suite a plus.
·Must be organized with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
·Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
·Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: From £14.00 per hour
