Job description
We have a vacant opportunity for a Media and Communications Manager (12 months maternity cover) to join us at our Macclesfield District General Hospital site , working across the East Cheshire NHS Trust organisation . Reporting to the Head of Communications and Engagement and working across the Corporate Affairs and Governance portfolio the candidate will play a critical role in the management of internal and external communications. Main Responsibilities will include positive and reactive media communications across all channels including print and digital media; effective reputation management including media training where required and stakeholder engagement to enable staff and external stakeholders to understand the changing NHS landscape and local NHS developments. In line with the DHSC long term plan and the local strategy plans the post holder will be instrumental in the development and guidance of timely and appropriate messages and methods.
This post is Fixed Term for 12 Months.
Hours per week: 37.5
This post is both reactive and proactive and will lead in the delivery and monitoring of internal and external communications campaigns and media relations.
