Job description
As the chosen candidate you will be responsible for creating a well-informed community, ensuring that the activities and messages of the Royal Air Force, Battlespace Management Operations and RAF Boulmer, are communicated and understood both internally and externally and to generate public support through effective engagement with local and regional media.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create content that brings Battlespace Management Operations Area of Responsibility and RAF Boulmer to the favourable attention of the local and regional community by use of the media. This includes in-house journals (Stn Magazine, RAF News etc) as well as external TV, radio, press and the Internet, including Station Social Media sites.
Coordinate Community Engagement Visits for members of the community, liaise with external groups and key stakeholders to provide a comprehensive itinerary that will explain the RAF Boulmer roles in UK Air Defence and Air Ops Specialist (Aerospace Systems) Trg for UK and expeditionary operations.
Create, update and re-issue of the RAF Boulmer Station Handbook.
Deputise for the Media and Communications Officer which would include holding the Duty Phone.
Please note, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a two week residential course within 6 months of appointment.

The post does not offer relocation expenses.
