Dynamic and talented engineer required to join the R&D Hardware team at GE Grid Automation in Stafford. Working within the R&D Hardware team the candidate will be responsible for delivering a wide range of projects to support the growth of our business.Job Description
The Role
Drawing updates to bring in line with company standard, Prototype circuit design, simulation, test and development to support ongoing R&D activities. The candidate will leverage best practice tools and methodologies in a cross-functional environment for Continuous Improvement.
Responsibilities will include:
- Drawing updates.
- Compliance test support.
- Process reviews.
- Participation in design reviews.
Essential Criteria:
- Has or currently are pursuing a degree in Engineering or IT (preferably Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing or Industrial, but all considered), or equivalent knowledge or experience
- Skilled in use of Microsoft Office tools.
- Good level of communication skills including data presentation and report writing with accuracy and an eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment on multiple projects with strict completion deadlines
- Demonstrated capability in time management and prioritisation of tasks
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous industrial work experience
- Experience at programming in C.
- Experience of solidworks
- Experience of Autocad.
- Experience of Schematic capture and or PCB layout.
- Drive to develop a quality culture
- The required skill base is in line with that expected of an undergraduate or graduate; candidates should be enthusiastic, imaginative, and willing for professional development.
