Job Summary
We are recruiting for an experienced subsea Mechanical Fitter to join a supportive team in our thriving workshop in Portlethen. In addition to a competitive benefits package, you'll have ample opportunity to build on your technical skills and progression within the business.
You’ll be working on Rental, Subsea and New Manufacture tooling, including Assembly and Testing of tooling and equipment.
Scope of the role:
- Work on Rental, Subsea and New Manufacture tooling with the following scopes, SCI, RGR, Assembly, Testing (working pressure, proof pressure and gas testing) FAT testing, EFAT testing and SIT on various tooling
- Small bore tubing, reclaim, make new, fit and test, varies from straight forward till complex.
- Working on the following tooling as a guide but not limited to i.e., XT’s. EDP/LRP’s, Connectors, Actuators, Flowbases, DBTRT’s, Spool TRT’s, SFT, THRT’s, CHSARTS, TCRT’s, MITCRT’s, THHTT’s, WSTT’s, THEOCT, Various types of skids, Riser Joints, Handling tools.
- Work safely and follow HSE procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvements and 5s within your working area and workshop.
- Be a mentor for apprentices and other less experienced fitters
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Able to Interpret complex schematics.
- Good general sound knowledge of Subsea equipment.
- Experienced and familiar with all pressure testing activities.
- Key skills in trouble shooting/Fault finding and problem solving
- Be able to use your own initiative and be proactive in your working environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role
- General knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and general computer skills to suit would be advantageous.
- Willing to learn new skills and challenges in your day-to-day activities.
