Job description

We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Mechanical design draughtsman to join our busy technical department where we design and manufacture flooring, balustrade and balcony systems in Norton, Malton.

Full-Time position Four Day Week Monday – Thursday

Reporting to the Technical Manager.

Responsibilities:-

• Creating high-quality Layout and Production drawings for orders using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Work alongside Sales and Production teams to help with technical queries and problem solve
• Help drive the company forward with new products and design ideas
• Good understanding of engineering principles, load support, etc.
• Ability to self-prioritise and work autonomously, accurately and speedily when required
• Full driving licence for site surveying purposes
• Full training will be given

Required criteria:-

• Understanding key manufacturing processes such as Casting and Metal Extruding
• Strong Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Being able to work in a small team and individually
• Willing to travel in order to complete surveys within the UK

Salary: Up to £27,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Draughtspersons: 1 year (preferred)
• AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
