Job description
We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Mechanical design draughtsman to join our busy technical department where we design and manufacture flooring, balustrade and balcony systems in Norton, Malton.
Full-Time position Four Day Week Monday – Thursday
Reporting to the Technical Manager.
Responsibilities:-
- Creating high-quality Layout and Production drawings for orders using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Work alongside Sales and Production teams to help with technical queries and problem solve
- Help drive the company forward with new products and design ideas
- Good understanding of engineering principles, load support, etc.
- Ability to self-prioritise and work autonomously, accurately and speedily when required
- Full driving licence for site surveying purposes
- Full training will be given
Required criteria:-
- Understanding key manufacturing processes such as Casting and Metal Extruding
- Strong Knowledge of AutoCAD
- Being able to work in a small team and individually
- Willing to travel in order to complete surveys within the UK
