We currently have exciting opportunities available at our Perth Site in our Packing Department.

We are looking for people to join us for up to 24 weeks as we undergo a major redevelopment of our boning hall and packing areas.
Shifts would be working 1600 to finish. Approximately 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

- To ensure that all product is packed to meet customer/company specifications, whilst also maximizing yield and minimizing waste.
- To ensure all tasks performed are as per training given and safe working procedures
- To work to agreed training plan, bringing any skill shortfalls/difficulties to the attention of the Packing Supervisor.
- Ensure understanding of expected standards and targets before commencing any task.
- To carry out all assigned tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, particularly with regard to H&S and Food Safety.
- To ensure that where PPE is provided for any of the above tasks, that it is correctly worn/used, maintained and any defects reported to the relevant key colleagues.
- To have a flexible approach to workloads/hours to ensure agreed throughput and yield targets are met.
- To report any problems regarding equipment/machinery to Boning Hall management.
- To be a valued member of the team and have consideration for all colleagues
- To participate in training in accordance with your training plan
- To adhere to current legislation and Company hygiene policies with regards to safe food production and hygiene at all times
- To comply with Health & Safety rules, to prevent/minimise the risk of accidents.
- To carry out all assigned tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, particularly with regard to Health and Safety and Food Safety at all times
- Any other duties as required
Candidates will be ideally suited to a fast paced food manufacturing environment and able to work as part of a team.
Essential: Positive and can-do attitude, Good time keeping, Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, ability to use own initiative,excellent communication skills, keen and willing to learn
Desirable: Previous experience in a similar role.
