Industrial Temporaries are recruiting for a number of positions on behalf of an independently owned beef cutting plant based in Coventry. The company is focused on the production and distribution of boxed-beef products for the British wholesale market. There is a strong family presence within the business that has a philosophy of care, responsibility and compliance in everything they do. A positive work attitude is more important than experience for these roles.There is lots of scope for career progression because there is opportunity for promotion from packing to trimming using knives and saws and eventually moving to de-boning skills for those willing to learn and showing the right attitude and aptitude for the job and the environment. There is a consistent temperature of 8 degrees centigrade throughout the plant so the workplace is chilled not frozen. All appropriate PPE is provided for the successful applicants.The work involves handling beef and the initial role will be based in the packing room where cuts of beef are vacuum sealed and travel along a conveyor belt to be boxed , labelled and stacked onto pallets. The weight of the boxes can be upto 25kgs so the ideal candidate needs to be physically fit.HOURS OF WORK = 07:30 – 16:30 (with 1 hour lunch unpaid)DAYS OF WORK = Monday to FridaySTARTING RATE OF PAY = £11 per hour in the packing room which will include £20 per week attendance bonus after successful completion of a 3 month probation period. Pay rates increase for different level of skills.
