MDU Fibre Engineer

Location - Field Based (London, South East and surrounding areas)

Salary: £28k-£33k per annum plus company benefits and bonus

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week

We’re looking for an MDU Fibre Engineer to join our Operations Team and support with doing things the CTG way!

Who you are…

We are looking for motivated, team players. This role will play a crucial part in our operations workforce out in the field bringing our vision to life.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work in a team with a lead engineer to ensure time and quality parameters are met.
  • Pre-wiring blocks internally or externally with the latest fibre technology up to the customer premise
  • Build the fibre network from the hub through to the MDU
  • Test, Rod and Rope MDU ducts where required.
  • Install Cable management.
  • Test and commission all installed network,
  • Splice fibre optic cable using supplied equipment.
  • Subduct installation across network infrastructures
  • Complete work that meets the required quality standards and within agreed timescales
  • Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety standards
  • Ensure the use of tools are conducted in a safe manner, meeting the requirements for operation of the specific equipment
  • Conduct daily checks of tools, ensure they are safe to use and where applicable carry valid calibration certificates
  • Fix and maintain current networks under supervision of lead engineer

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively
  • Thinking on your feet when things don’t go to plan
  • You must be proactive, confident and a team player
  • Having the drive, motivation, and pushing yourself to succeed to meet SLAs for the business whilst having a strong ability to work under pressure

  • A full driving licence will be required for this role
