Kumon Northwich is a family-run supplementary education provider with an established reputation for making a difference to children's self-belief, confidence and understanding of maths and English. We're growing in popularity and need to recruit an additional to home.
We therefore require a Class Assistant, as soon as possible to work in our mixed age classrooms supporting children in developing their knowledge of maths and, or English, marking and recording class and homework and supporting with one-to-one, small group work and individualised study.
We're looking for a very special individual who is quietly confident, passionate about making a difference to children and young people, enjoys education and in particular, maths and English, is able to work from 3 pm until 7:15 pm on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:15 until 1:15 pm, is able to work under pressure and at pace, is able to follow direction but also able to work independently and use initiative and is able to inspire children to be the best they can.
The role requires a level of organisation, literacy and numeracy skills, the ability to work accurately and to deadlines, strong communication skills and genuine passion for making a difference. Knowledge of the Kumon methodology is desirable. Training will be provided and ongoing. All our team multi-task and therefore reception duties including dealing with email and phone enquiries are an integral part of this role,
