Job description
We are looking for enthusiastic Maternity Care Assistants for various hours for the University Hospital Wishaw, please note for any part-time post and the salary will be pro-rata.
The post holder will act as a member of the care team under the supervision and guidance of registered midwives. Provide support and evidenced-based advice to women and their families in the antenatal and postnatal period, either in the hospital setting or in the community, by assisting in the planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of care. This will be achieved by direct patient care in support of and supervised by a registered midwife. The maternity care assistant will be expected to perform specific care tasks once he/she has completed a recognised formal training programme and assessment. The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the hospital/outreach clinic/home environment in line with local and divisional policies and Participate in Practice development programmes as required.
Please note a driving licence is required this and must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence
