Main purpose of job:
Innovate Recycle, based in Northampton, has developed a unique and environmentally sustainable process to extract high-quality substances from end-of-life carpet that can be used in the manufacture of a wide range of new products from cars to garden furniture. With the aid of specialist machinery we need to sort and segregate polypropylene rich carpet from other forms of carpet that arrives at our factory. The sorted material then needs to be loaded on to the start of the Innovate Recycle process line. We are looking to recruit a number of Materials Sorting and Segregating Operatives to join our team for the exciting initial phase of our recycling operations. Key tasks:
1. Ensure the safe and effective operation of the recycling process
2. Safe and efficient sorting of target material in line with company procedures and product requirements
3. Loading of the carpet into the recycling machine
4. Identify and record non-conformance, defects and production failures
5. Maintaining a clean and tidy working area
Key results/objectives:
1. Machine run-time
2. Material produced per shift
3. Completion of check forms and defect reporting
Training and experience:
· Full on-site training will be given
· Full process knowledge (start to end product) will be trained
· Counterbalance forklift truck license (preferred)
· Good written and verbal skills
· Positive attitude
· Health and Safety awareness
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £20,500.00-£23,000.00 per year
