Job Advert - Innovation Engineer/Scientist
Prosemino is a leading venture builder at the forefront of electrochemical technology, including batteries, fuel cells, and hydrogen electrolysers. We create, build and support promising startups in the field through access to in-house expertise, state-of-the-art lab facilities, and collaborations with industry and academia. Our goal is to accelerate the development and commercialization of ground-breaking innovations that address the world's energy challenges.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic person to join our team. As part of the team at Prosemino, you will have a unique opportunity to work closely with our experienced professionals, contribute to the success of cutting-edge startups, help maintain and develop our lab space in Hackney Wick, and play a key role in shaping Prosemino's programme, brand development and marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with startup teams to understand their technical and business challenges, assist in problem-solving, and offer innovative solutions.
- Support new ventures, providing them with guidance, mentorship, and strategic support throughout their journey.
- Engage in hands-on activities in our lab, including equipment maintenance, organization, and inventory management.
- Assist in the development and execution of lab safety protocols, ensuring a secure and efficient working environment.
- Contribute to the branding and marketing efforts of Prosemino, including social media management, content creation, and website maintenance.
- Participate in team meetings and workshops, actively sharing ideas and insights to enhance the overall success of Prosemino and its ventures.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in electrochemical technology and related industries, conducting research and providing valuable inputs.
Requirements:
- Completed a degree in a relevant field such as chemistry, materials science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Industry experience OR a PhD in a relevant discipline. Startup experience is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated passion for electrochemical technology and its applications, with a keen interest in the energy sector, the net-zero transition and sustainable solutions.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative, while also being a valuable team player.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, with experience in handling electrochemical equipment being a plus.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic and fast-paced environment, embracing challenges and driving innovation.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms would be advantageous.
