Job description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative company who specialise in advanced high temperature metal forming technologies who are undergoing an exciting period of growth as we license the technology globally.
Impression Technologies (ITL) are looking for a Materials Engineer/Associate Materials Engineer to join our committed technology development team. Our patented HFQ® process has been developed for forming complex structural parts from lightweight sheet alloys, particularly aluminium, for the automotive and aerospace industries.
Reporting to the Head of Metallurgy and Materials Characterisation and working closely with the Materials Evaluation Centre (MEC) team and wider business, you will become a central player in expanding our knowledge base in relation to the HFQ® process and alloy materials. With the importance of low-carbon intensity materials and processes, you will be supporting a globally applicable technology that is growing in demand for several emerging forms of transport, including electric vehicles.
In this role your main focus will be on the standardisation, improvement and development of the MEC materials characterisation processes, working with unique and state of the art capability. In addition, you will contribute to and lead projects related to the development of fundamental core materials and process related understanding as well as supporting commercial projects. You will have responsibility for delivering key information to the business and you will be expected to communicate results and requirements effectively across all levels and functions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented graduate who picks new things up quickly, takes responsibility and enjoys a challenge. We will also consider a recent or future graduate for this role. We commit to training and mentoring the successful candidate and providing opportunities for your growth and development. ITL offers a competitive package including hybrid working.
ITL is an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from all.
