Match Day Security Supervisor - Lord's Cricket Ground

£14.45 per hour

We are looking to recruit Match Day Security Supervisors to join our current team working at the Lord’s Cricket Ground, London, the ‘Home of Cricket’ and a key venue for G4S Events. Our Match Day Security Supervisors provide a visible reminder that safety is our number one priority for visitors and staff. This is an interactive ‘on-the-ground’ role looking after stewarding and security teams in key positions across the site.

As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Deployment and management of staff within your allocated remit
• Delivering a detailed briefing to staff including emergency procedures, grounds regulations and match day-specific information
• Ensuring pre- and post-event safety checks are carried out by your team, to maintain compliance with safe working procedures
• Ensuring all staff maintain a high standard of personal presentation and customer service throughout the day
• Identifying potential issues or incidents and to take action as necessary
• Incident reporting via radio into the Event Control Room
• Direct liaison with G4S Event Manager and Lord’s Senior Operations Team

From our Supervisors, we require:

• Excellent timekeeping

• Exceptional customer service skills - a friendly face
• A high standard of personal presentation
• A proven ability to effectively manage a team
• A strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently
• A determination to go above and beyond to deliver a fantastic results for our client
• Proven experience of client liaison
• A valid SIA Door Supervisor licence

Beneficial, but not essential:

• Knowledge of the game of cricket
• Experience of working in a sports environment/large-scale venues

All Match Day Stewards applying for this position must be available for 75% of major match days including two International Test Matches, One-Day International, T20 Blast fixtures and The Hundred tournament. This equates to working a minimum of 15 out of the 20 major match days in 2023.

• Thursday 8th June – T20 Blast
• Friday 16th June – T20 Blast
• Sunday 18th June – T20 Blast
• Wednesday 28th to Sunday 2nd July - The Ashes: England v Australia Test Match
• Saturday 8th July – England v Australia (Women’s T20 International)
• Wednesday 2nd August - The Hundred
• Tuesday 8th August - The Hundred
• Saturday 12th August - The Hundred
• Friday 18th August - The Hundred
• Sunday 27th August - The Hundred Finals Day
• Monday 28th August - The Hundred Finals (Reserve Day)
• Friday 15th September - England v New Zealand (Men’s One-Day International)
