The A Side: A Day in The Life
UMUK value e-Commerce as a key foundational channel to connect artists and fans. This is a newly created role that will be pivotal in helping to shape and deliver our future facing eComm Marketing growth strategy.
We are seeking a highly creative, analytical and results-oriented eComm marketing operations manager to support on key marketing and UI initiatives across our artist stores. The role will lead and support on social commerce, SEO, and analytics / performance and the role would suit an assured self-starter who is adept at working autonomously. From heading up and delivering our social commerce plan, to managing project tools that deliver engagement and growth across our eComm business via our ecommerce stack, the successful candidate will work cross functionally across closely with label marketing teams and the wider ecommerce team.
A successful candidate will have strong Shopify and social commerce experience, be a creative problem-solver with strong analytical skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, while managing competing deadlines. They will have the ability to work independently under time constraints to deliver results.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Role and Responsibilities
The Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for:
- Implement & manage social commerce within each Shopify instance. Defining opportunities per artist & working closely with the labels to run an effective strategy for each live channel alongside our inhouse agency.
- Build a center of excellence for Social Commerce + onsite SEO & share best practices across the group.
- Implementation & ongoing management of onsite SEO across the new Shopify 2 stack.
- Being a lead with labels – the face of social commerce & UI for the Central team.
- Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Manager on opportunities for paid campaigns & keyword research for our owned & operated sites.
- Analyse and communicate marketing performance, using analytical insights to create actionable strategies to support customer growth and engagement.
- Building out analytics across the business to ensure we delights fans and artists alike, working with our Business Analyst to share learnings across the group on evergreen opportunities & more.
- Work with technology and cross-organization partner teams to identify and scope new capabilities needed to support and accelerate marketing programs to drive trial, engagement, and retention, ensuring we can optimize CX and create scalable solutions.
- Work with Head of Site Experience & Head of Demand on best practice UI using our AB Testing toolkit.
- Research & outline further opportunities for A/B testing for our artist, retail & evergreen sites.
- Project manage the day-to-day activities & future projects on our PM tool Monday.com with the Central team + Labels.
Qualifications and experience
- BSc or BA in Marketing
- 3 years Shopify experience
- 3 years’ experience in managing marketing campaigns performance across paid digital marketing such as Social, Programmatic, SEO and reporting back to business leadership
- E-commerce experience with a background in managing D2C sales & channel partnerships
- Experience using: Business Manager [Meta], Google [GA, GMC, Ads & YouTube] & TikTok
- Strong analytical skills, experience with large data sets and interpreting data analysis (quantitative and qualitative data) into meaningful strategy
- Experience of implementing social commerce strategies, from an advertising and operation perspective
- Experience with AB testing
- PM tools – Preferably Monday.com
- Experience working in cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and client facing/consulting skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills with an ability to understand data and be able apply this to marketing strategy
- Music or entertainment experience is a plus
