What you’ll be doing
This is an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning and dynamic Communications team, who work across Orion’s wide range of imprints encompassing a range of publishing from some of the industry’s biggest brand fiction authors, exciting debuts, literary fiction and non-fiction, celebrity-led titles, music, lifestyle, cookery and memoir.
This role will be responsible for planning, creating and delivering standout marketing campaigns for a wide list of authors. From writing and communicating marketing plans, building reader awareness and engaging booksellers, planning and implementing paid and organic social media campaigns, creating eye-catching media campaigns and creatives, and analysing and reporting on campaign performance, you’ll play a crucial role in every step of a book’s journey – from acquisition to publication and beyond.
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for an experienced marketer with a proven track record of delivering creative, consumer-focused and sales-driving marketing campaigns across fiction and non-fiction.
Alongside proven marketing experience, our ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is full of ideas. Strong copywriting, digital marketing and communication skills are essential – you’ll also be able to demonstrate excellent budget management and outstanding attention to detail as well as bringing initiative, creativity, and passion to the role. You’ll understand how to reach different consumers with targeted messaging and initiatives and have experience working with third parties and influencers on partnerships to broaden the reach of your campaigns. The ability to multi-task, work calmly under pressure and be a strong team player are also vital.

This role can be based at our London office, or at any of our new regional offices in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield or Bristol, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
