About the role / SegmentDo you have a background in industrial software, hardware and services for product and process engineering, manufacturing and lifecycle management? Do you understand cloud technologies and SaaS business models? Are you skilled at working with industry, process and product experts to define differentiated value proposition, messaging and content that wins in the marketplace?
Area of responsibilityThe Marketing Manager, Manufacturing Solutions is responsible for taking Siemens Digital Industry Software (DISW) solutions to market in the context of our industry go-to-market strategies, campaigns and plans and tapping into connections with Digital Industries/Factory Automation (DI/FA). A key aspect of this role is to identify and develop an ecosystem of solution Subject Matter Experts across DISW, as well as DI/FA organizations, then align and consolidate the collective knowledge into a differentiated value proposition, messaging and content to support the achievement of our strategic revenue objectives. To do this, you will collaborate closely with solution/product managers, as well as sales/portfolio developers/partners to determine and validate the best positioning and messaging - while working with the content marketing team/third party vendors to develop engaging content that helps the market understand the unique value proposition that Siemens delivers to accelerate the digital transformation of our customers. You will also work with industry marketing and global marketing planning and execution to drive that content into the marketplace through integrated industry marketing campaigns and measure the effectiveness of the activities to continuously improve and adapt to the market realities.
Solution Marketing Essential Functions- Gathers and documents input from market and competitive research, sales feedback and customer interactions.
- Collaborates with appropriate collaborators (ie sales, solution experts, industry marketing, marketing planning and execution, DI/FA organization, etc.) to define and develop differentiated value proposition, messaging and content for prioritized solutions that address our target customers business challenges.
- Drives the implementation of POCs to test and validate/adjust the messaging and content prior to scaling across industry campaigns.
- Collaborates with industry marketing and global marketing planning and execution to incorporate the solution value proposition consistently across industry campaigns and ultimately bring to market.
- Monitors and measures the effectiveness of the industry marketing campaigns against defined important metrics and adjusts messaging and content to ensure continuous improvement in alignment with market realities and company’s go-to-market and business goals.
- Strong background in marketing software-based solutions, specifically message and value proposition development.
- Proven marketing experience working with industrial software and hardware solutions and services in the discreet or process industry.
- Solid understanding of cloud technologies and SaaS business models.
- Be a flexible and creative individual capable of leading and managing multiple priorities and projects in a fast paced, often ambiguous, and diverse environment.
- Experience in a project and program management role; with strong organizational and change management skills and a strong sense of ownership/bias for action to deliver results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering
- Demonstrated ability in or working in the industrial software space
- Proven experience in marketing campaign creation (B2B) with specific background in messaging, collateral development, etc.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel and Word, and ability to learn new productivity software skills as needed
This role can be based remotely in Europe and there will up to 20% travel
