In a nutshell
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end management of marketing campaigns. You’ll support the full Marketing function including; front and back-book, Brand, Marketing Services, Retail Marketing, Digital Marketing and Planning teams. You may also support projects that sit external to the Marketing function & you’ll support the Placement Lead, Virtual Team Lead or Campaign Lead with related Marketing tasks. You’ll put the customer at the heart of our Marketing strategy throughout their journey with Sainsbury’s Bank.
You’ll be based from our Edinburgh office, in addition to regular remote home-working.
What you’ll be doing
- Liaising and networking with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleagues, suppliers and partner organisations.
- Contributing to, and developing, Marketing plans including media, comms and creative.
- Supporting the Senior Marketing Manager and other colleagues such as the Project, Virtual and Placement Leads.
- Managing budgets and project plans.
- Evaluating Marketing campaigns and acting on data-led insights
- Building effective working relationships to understand our product portfolio, key benefit features and core product/customer strategies.
- Monitoring our direct competitors and highlighting key market trends
- Supporting the Senior Marketing Manager in considering how to change customer behaviours, looking at how this impacts customer needs and subsequent journeys across paid, owned and earned.
- Considering how Marketing technology can enable us to deliver more efficient and effective campaigns.
- Coordinating relevant governance to ensure the appropriate risk appetite is considered for campaign or project requirements by managing audit trails, sign-offs and approvals.
- Undertaking periodic process reviews, ensuring that we maximise efficiencies.
What you need to know and show
- Relevant Marketing experience, developing customer-focused communications and propositions.
- Proven campaign management skills for tactical marketing activity, specifically through in-store, direct & online marketing.
- Analytical ability to understand customer targets and channel choice, evaluating all options to pursue the most cost‐effective and profitable return on investment, plus a thorough understanding of post‐review learning.
- Strong influencing and networking skills.
- Experienced agency manager.
- Positive can-do attitude.
